SSC CPO SI Exam Guide – Syllabus, Physical Test & Cutoff
SSC CPO (Central Police Organization) is the gateway to becoming a Sub-Inspector (SI) in Delhi Police, CRPF, BSF, CISF, ITBP, and SSB. It requires both mental and physical strength.
Selection Process
- Paper 1: CBT (200 Marks)
- PST/PET: Physical Standard & Endurance Test (Qualifying)
- Paper 2: English Language (200 Marks)
- Medical Examination
Physical Standard Test (PST)

Physical Endurance Test (PET)
For Males:
- 100m race in 16 seconds
- 1.6 km race in 6.5 minutes
- Long Jump: 3.65m (3 chances)
- High Jump: 1.2m (3 chances)
For Females:
- 100m race in 18 seconds
- 800m race in 4 minutes
- Long Jump: 2.7m (3 chances)
- High Jump: 0.9m (3 chances)
Syllabus & Strategy
Paper 1 is similar to SSC CGL Tier 1. Paper 2 is purely English (Comprehension & Grammar).
- Focus heavily on English as it carries 250 marks (50 in Paper 1 + 200 in Paper 2).
- Start physical training 2-3 months before the exam.
